PARAMAX ANNOUNCES SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT APPOINTMENTS

 MCLEAN, Va., July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Paramax, a wholly owned subsidiary of Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS), has announced a number of recent senior business development appointments. "As Paramax successfully continues to execute its strategy of expanding core businesses in the defense and public sector arenas and in emerging commercial markets worldwide, these appointments are particularly important," said Albert F. Zettlemoyer, senior vice president, Unisys, and president of Paramax.
 Bill D. Sturm has been appointed vice president, business development, at Paramax headquarters, where he had served as vice president, operations and technology, since 1991. Sturm's association with Paramax began in 1985 when he joined the company as vice president, business development, for its System Development Corporation subsidiary.
 James G. Chupurdia has been appointed vice president, international business development, for Paramax. Prior to assuming this position, Chupurdia served as director, business development, for the Electronic Systems division. He has also held successive management positions in the company's International Program Management organization.
 Joseph J. La Pilusa has joined Paramax as vice president, commercial business development. Prior to this assignment, La Pilusa was vice president, strategic programs, for Unisys in Santa Ana, Calif. For the past 16 years La Pilusa has held a variety of positions with the company including regional general management, marketing operations and financial management assignments.
 Vincent Obsitnik has been appointed vice president for business development in the Systems Services division in McLean. Obsitnik joined Paramax last year as director of the Combat Systems line of business and most recently was director, business development. He came to the company after a successful career with a major computer company where he held increasingly responsible marketing and general management positions.
 Bruce R. Mayo has been named vice president of business development for the Systems Development division in Great Neck, N.Y. Prior to that, Mayo was vice president of Undersea Systems, responsible for the development and production of the Trident submarine navigation system and all deep submergence programs. He joined the company in 1959 as a field engineer and has 20 years of systems engineering experience for the Navy Fleet Ballistic Missile submarine program.
 George E. Lombard has joined Paramax as vice president, business development, for the Electronic Systems division in Eagan, Minn. Lombard brings to Paramax more than 35 years of technical, marketing and business management experience gained with a major aerospace firm.
