PARAG0N DEBUTS "CD-ROM EMULATOR 2000" VIRTUAL CD-ROM MACHINE.

Finally there is a solution to end the time consuming and frustrating CD disk-change cycle. Hundreds of CDs stored as compressed images on local or network hard-drives can now be accessed in seconds.

For a fraction of the cost of an expensive enterprise hardware-based CD-ROM server, private users can create their own virtual CD-ROM Pro-server system which simultaneously accesses up to 20+ CDs. A PC does not need a CD-ROM drive to access the contents of CDs.

Besides this, the virtual CD-ROM drive works much faster than the fastest and most advanced CD-ROM drive. There is neither noise nor a wait for speeding up CD-ROM drives.

Paragon CD-ROM Emulator 2000 runs on all Windows versions: WIN 9x, WIN ME, WIN NT 4.0 and WIN 2000. The program is available in English, French, Spanish and German. The professional network versions start at US $ 69 for a five-user license. There is a slim-downed personal network version for about US $ 30.-- with the limitation that each CD image can be accessed by one user only.

Features

- Creates compressed images from your CD disks and stores them on any local or remote hard disk (network drive).

- Creates lightening fast virtual CD-ROM drives in memory. 20 or more such virtual CD-ROM drives may be dynamically added and removed without rebooting.

- High speed hard disk access to your CD images which is several times faster than the fastest physical CD-ROM drive available;

- Works with DATA (ISO) and Audio (MP3, WAV) as well as mixed mode CDs (data and audio).

- Allows a virtual CD-ROM server for a single PC as well as for a network at no additional cost. All clients will have shared access to all CD images. No physical CD-ROM drives necessary;

- Eliminates the CD change cycle once and for all. More than 20 CD images can be inserted at the same time. If a CD change is necessary it just requires a simple and fast Drag & Drop operation;

- Besides the dialog mode, there is a command line mode available. This gives system administrators and experienced users the option to work with scripts.

- Listen to your favorite music while working with one or more CD based applications. You have access to more than 20 virtual CD-ROM drives simultaneously.

- Games can be played on the network simultaneously.

- Store your valuable CD originals in a safe place - totally secure from any kind of damage.

- Compose your own CD images by adding and removing single CD tracks to/from an image. Supported track formats at this time are ISO, MP3 and WAV.
