PAKISTAN INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES SELECTS WICAT TO PROVIDE
 COMPUTER BASED TRAINING SYSTEM
OREM, Utah, July 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Wicat Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: WCAT) announced today that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has selected Wicat Systems Ltd., U.K. to provide a comprehensive computer based training (CBT) system initially for A-310 and B-747 training.
Wicat will be installing, at the PIA training center in Karachi, a network comprised of two Wicat 5486 Novell fileservers and 19 WITS 4000s. In addition, projectors will be installed in three classrooms for classroom instruction. The system is configured to deliver the Aeroformation A-310 flight and maintenance courseware and B747-200 flight crew courseware from Wicat.
"We selected Wicat because of their proven ability to configure and support a CBT system for delivery of courseware from different sources," stated retired Air Cmdr. S. Qaiser Ysoof, principal of PIA training center. "Wicat's work with Boeing and McDonnell Douglas and the close co-operation with Aeroformation provides us with a supplier that can meet our immediate needs and work with us in the future when we wish to extend the use of CBT in PIA. Wicat was selected after a detailed review of competitive systems."
PIA joins a growing number of airlines who have selected Wicat to provide state-of-the-art hardware, software and courseware compatible with guidelines established by the Aviation Industry Computer-based training Committee (AICC).
Wicat Systems Inc. is a world leader in technology-based training and education, providing products and services to significantly improve learning in industry and schools. Wicat stock is traded in the NASDAQ market under the symbol WCAT.
