PAIPED Chairman Receives Lithuanian Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Muscat, Nov 21 (ONA) --- Dr. Salim bin Nassir al-Isma'eli, Chairman of the Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Exports Development (PAIPED) received at PAIPED building today Asta Skaisgiryte Liauskiene, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, currently visiting the Sultanate.. The meeting discussed means of joint cooperation and reviewed the economic relations and investment opportunities between the Sultanate and the friendly Republic of Lithuania, besides reviewing the promising investment opportunities in the Sultanate in the relevant fields and discussing the importance of enhancing the economic and trade relations through utilizing the existing projects and the free trade zones in the Sultanate to serve the two countries. Dr. Al-Isma'eli affirmed that such visits will result in building economic and strategic relations and partnerships with the friendly countries in various countries. He pointed out that the Republic of Lithuania enjoys a number of potentials that make it a strategic partner for the Sultanate, especially that there are promising fields for cooperation in the sectors of the information technology, biotechnology, technologies of the renewable energy, metal processing, trade exchange, cultural cooperation and other vital fields and sectors. On her turn, the Lithuanian Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs said that this meeting is a great opportunity to discuss joint factors between the two countries in the investment aspect and address the trade services and facilities rendered by the authority for foreign investors. She affirmed that the Sultanate is one of the promising economic partners in the region. --- Ends/AH/FS
