PAGING NETWORK NAMES NEW CHAIRMAN, PRESIDENT

 DALLAS, Nov. 19 ~PRNewswire~ -- Paging Network, Inc. (NASDAQ: P AGE) today announced several executive changes that will be effective Feb. 1, 1993. George M. Perrin, currently president and chief executive officer, will be named chairman of the board and chief executive officer. Terry L. Scott, currently senior vice president-finance and administration and chief financial officer, will be named president.
 Phillip J. Scott (no relation), currently senior vice president- operations, will be promoted to executive vice president-operations, reporting to Terry Scott. Mr. Terry Scott and Mr. Phillip Scott will join the company's board of directors.
 Carl D. Thoma, currently chairman of the board and general partner of the investment firm of Golder, Thoma & Cressey, will be named vice chairman of the board.

 "Mr. Perrin will focus his talents and knowledge of the paging industry and mobile communications on the strategic direction of the company. Mr. Terry Scott, with his strong management skills, 10 years of senior-level financial and administrative positions at Paging Network and expertise in the industry, will assume the broader role of managing all the company's activities. Mr. Phillip Scott will continue to utilize his skills and insights to manage the exceptional growth and expansion opportunities of the company."
 Perrin began his career in the paging industry in 1971 as executive vice president of the industry trade association, now known as Telocator, and subsequently left to assume senior-level positions with various paging companies. In 1981 Perrin and Golder, Thoma & Cressey founded Paging Network, today the largest and fastest growing company in the industry. Terry Scott joined Paging Network in 1982 as vice president. He had previously served as Principal in the Dallas office of Arthur Young & Company with responsibility for clients in the communications industry. Since joining Paging Network, he has been an active leader in the industry, including currently serving as a member of the board of directors and treasurer of Telocator. Phillip Scott joined Paging Network in 1983 as vice president. Prior to joining Paging Network, he was vice president and regional manager for another paging company.
 The company said it expects to name a new chief financial officer shortly.
 Paging Network offers local, regional and nationwide paging service. Including the operations the company has previously announced it will open in the first quarter of 1993, Paging Network provides service in 26 states and the District of Columbia.
