PAGENET ANNOUNCES SUBSCRIBER GROWTH, NEW MARKETS
DALLAS, June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Paging Network, Inc. (NASDAQ: PAGE)

announced today that the company had surpassed 1.6 million pagers in service, up from 1,438,983 at March 31, 1992.
The company, the largest and fastest growing provider of paging services in the United States, also announced it would begin operations in two additional markets this fall. The new sales and service operations will be in Tampa, Fla., and Norfolk/Richmond, Va.
Earlier this year the company opened new operations in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas; Atlanta; Sacramento, Calif.; and Cincinnati/Dayton and Columbus, Ohio. Other operations which have been announced but are not yet open include Cleveland/Akron, Ohio; Las Vegas, Nev.; and Pittsburgh. Those operations will open this summer.
"1992 is the first of a multi-year expansion program which will take us into the majority of the million-plus population centers in the United States by the mid 1990s," said Phillip J. Scott, senior vice president-operations and chief operating officer. "We have grown to be the dominate paging company in the country by offering the lowest price for high-quality service. We intend to continue that approach in these newly announced markets."
Historically, the company's newly opened markets have reached break- even on operating cash flow during their second year of operation and have reached operating cash flow margins above 40 percent in their fourth year of operation.
As previously reported, the company's consolidated cash flow will be significantly higher in 1992 than 1991, and because of the new market openings, operating cash flow margins in 1992 will decline slightly from the 37.4 percent of 1991.
PageNet provides local, regional and nationwide service in 22 states and the District of Columbia.
