PAGENET ANNOUNCES NATIONWIDE PAGING SERVICE BEGINS TODAY

DALLAS, Nov. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Paging Network, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: PAGE) today began its nationwide paging service, PageNet Nationwide(SM), in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
"Subscribers have expressed great interest in the product," said Terry L. Scott, president. "We believe this interest is an early indication that our service offering and pricing are right on target."
PageNet Nationwide costs subscribers $29.95 a month and includes the lease of a digital pager and 200 messages per month. Unlike its competition, PageNet provides its nationwide subscribers with a personal 800 number at no additional charge which connects a caller to the subscriber's pager.
PageNet also announced that national advertising for PageNet Nationwide will begin in January 1994.
With more than 2.8 million subscribers, Paging Network is the largest and fastest growing provider of paging service in the United States. Prior to the nationwide service initiated today, PageNet had offered local and regional paging services. PageNet's nationwide transmission service reaches more than 90 percent of the U.S. population.
