PACTEL TELETRAC VEHICLE LOCATION SYSTEM AVAILABLE

TO EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAMS AIDING HURRICANE ANDREW RELIEF EFFORTS
PacTel Teletrac will donate the use of its vehicle location system to those emergency response teams supplying disaster relief in the wake of Hurricane Andrew. The system displays an entire fleet on a computer-generated digital street map. This allows a dispatcher to visually pinpoint the exact location of any vehicle in the fleet to improve dispatch management. The PacTel Teletrac system can assist these organizations:
 -- Police Departments
 -- Fire Crews
 -- Ambulance Services
 -- Public Transport Services
-- Utilities: Telephone, Water and Power
 -- Waste Disposal Companies
 -- Nonprofit Disaster Relief Organizations
There is a limited supply of vehicle location units available, and PacTel Teletrac urges interested agencies to contact the company immediately. Contact Al Hunt or Seth Miller at 305-484-1300. PacTel Teletrac is located at 3330 N.W. 53rd St., Suite 302, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
NOTE: Since telephone service is still limited in some of the stricken areas in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, it is very important that agencies contacting PacTel Teletrac leave telephone numbers that are currently in service.
CONTACT: Al Hunt of PacTel, 305-484-1300, or Nancy Harrison of Ariel West, 714-540-7387, for PacTel.
