P+E Ships Bulk Hydrogen Purifier System to Japanese Customer.

Power+Energy, Inc. (P+E), a company developing hybrid hydrogen separation technology for fuel cell applications, recently announced the shipment of its third PE9000 Series bulk hydrogen purification system to an existing customer in Japan that produces light emitting diodes (LEDs).

According to P+E, the modular system has a nominal capacity of 1,300 liters per minute and is capable of producing ultra-pure hydrogen (UPH), which contains less than one part per billion total impurities.

P+E noted that the design of the PE9000 system integrates multiple palladium membrane purifiers and the company's P130 control systems with PC-based centralized monitoring and control software that allows remote monitoring and control of the purifier system over LAN-connected computers.

The system will be installed in the first quarter of 2006.
