Oxnard Boys & Girls Club to Raffle off Waterfront Home in Channel Islands Harbor - D.R. Horton Partners with Boys & Girls Club to Build House of Ten Thousand Dreams.

OXNARD, Calif. -- The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme is partnering with D.R. Horton to offer a million-dollar opportunity: a Channel Islands Harbor waterfront home for $150. Tickets for the House of Ten Thousand Dreams Home Raffle are on sale. Proceeds will help the Boys & Girls Club expand with a goal of serving 10,000 kids. They currently serve 6,700. For tickets, visit www.tenthousanddreams.org and download an entry form, or call toll-free to (866) 720-2582. Enter by July 15 for the first early bird drawing Aug. 5.

"Seabridge is meant to be a place where dreams are fulfilled," said Chris Chambers, northern California regional president for D.R. Horton. "It was a natural fit to work with the Boys & Girls Club to give our community's kids the chance to dream and to make their dreams come true."

The House of Ten Thousand Dreams is a two-story, 3,195-square-foot, single-family home under construction in the gated Port Province region of the Seabridge community and includes a 35-foot boat dock. The $1.3 million home includes three bedrooms, a loft, three bathrooms and a three-car garage.

A total of 18,000 tickets will be sold, and there will be more than 190 early bird prizes raffled off, including a 2007 Fat Boy Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Early bird winners will still be eligible to win the House of Ten Thousand Dreams.

"These are great odds," said Tim Blaylock, chief professional officer of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme. "Not only does this beat out the lottery, but every ticket purchased helps create a positive place for kids and a better community."

By involving parents, volunteers, educators and the business community, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme helps youth reach their full potential through a positive environment, lifelong learning and programs dedicated to the arts, education, character and leadership development, health and recreation. Programs are based on physical, emotional, cultural and social needs, and are designed to expand participants' areas of interest.
