Owens-Corning debuts new corporate logo.

At a recent news conference in New York, NY, Owens-Corning, Toledo, OH unveiled a new corporate logo and vision. The new logo more effectively supports the company's presence in the global marketplace and the commitment to technological excellence, quality products and service. The logo also emphasizes the name of the company, Owens-Corning, and removes the past emphasis on the word "Fiberglas."

Glen Hiner, chairman and chief executive officer, led the press conference and discussed the new company logo and direction. He said that Owens-Corning is aiming to become known more as a materials company and less as exclusively a fiberglass company. Mr. Hiner was clear in asserting the company's confidence in its product across the entire range of applications, from non-woven fiberglass insulation and roofing shingle mats to shipboard structural, ballistic armor and the "Hollex" hollow glass fibers.
