Owen's finishing helps Robins win; NON-LEAGUE.

MARK Owen demonstrated his finishing prowess to help Evesham United shock Kidderminster Harriers and win the Worcestershire Senior Cup last night.

The striker, back with the Robins after rejoining from Stourport Swifts last month, netted the only goal of the held-over final at St George's Lane.

Harriers keeper Jasbir Singh had blocked Owen's header on 58 minutes but the evergreen forward reacted sharply to net the loose ball.

Harriers, who only fielded four first-teamers among a youthful side, had looked the more threatening in the first half, with Matthew Barnes-Homer sending an effort just wide and youth teamer Chris Seekings forcing a save from Joe Perry. In between Steve Luckett headed just wide for the Robins.
