Overnite Selects Springfield, Mo., Driver for All-Star Road Team.

RICHMOND, Va., Feb. 23 /PRNewswire/ --

Larry Brazzle, a city driver at Overnite's Springfield Service Center, has been selected to Overnite Transportation's All-Star Road Team.

As one of Overnite's and the industry's top drivers, Brazzle won first place in the 1999 Missouri State Truck Driving Championship and competed in the National Truck Driving Championship. During the past 17 years with Overnite, Brazzle has logged more than 1.5 million miles.

Brazzle, a professional driver for 30 years, is a Cubmaster for the Boy Scouts of America, St. Louis District, and is active in his community's Neighborhood Watch program.

Overnite's All-Star Road Team members serve as ambassadors for the company, as well as the entire trucking industry. They speak on safety issues and driver professionalism across the country.

This year's All-Star Road Team includes 13 drivers, selected from more than 6,100 Overnite drivers nationwide. They are chosen for their outstanding safety records, community and company involvement, job performance, communication skills and truck driving awards.

Overnite Transportation, the trucking subsidiary of Union Pacific Corporation, reported revenue in excess of $1 billion in 1999. The less-than- truckload carrier has 13,000 employees and operates 166 service centers serving more than 45,000 points in all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Guam.
