AUBURN

Auburn Inn, 225 Touring Drive, Auburn, 46706; 219/925-6363, 800/255-2541. The 53-room Auburn Inn is near the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Museum at exit 129 off Interstate 69. The inn has an outdoor pool, and offers guests a continental breakfast, complimentary drinks Monday through Thursday evenings and chocolate chip cookies every night.

COLUMBIA CITY

This 52-room property is equidistant from the attractions of Fort Wayne and the lakes around Warsaw as well as from other noted landmarks. Fort Wayne Marriott Hotel, 305 E. Washington Center Road, Fort Wayne, 46825; 219/484-0411, 800/MARRIOTT. Located at I-69 at exit 112B, this 223-room hotel has a restaurant, a lounge with a dance floor, indoor/outdoor pool, whirlpool, exercise room, putting green and suntanning booths.

Hilton Inn-Airport, 3939 Ferguson Road, Fort Wayne, 46809; 219/747-9171, 800/743-9171. There are 149 rooms at this airport property, plus an exercise room, an outdoor pool, a '50s-'60s lounge and a restaurant.

Fort Wayne Hilton, 1020 S. Calhoun St., Fort Wayne, 46802; 219/420-1100, 800/HILTONS. This 251-room Hilton is downtown adjacent to the Grand Wayne Center. Concierge service is available throughout. It also has two restaurants, two lounges, live entertainment, an indoor pool, a whirlpool and exercise equipment. Corporate rates are available.

Holiday Inn Downtown, 300 E. Washington Blvd., Fort Wayne, 46802; 219/422-5511, 800/HOLIDAY. When registering or making reservations at this 255-room Holiday Inn, ask about weekend/corporate discounts and packages. Amenities include two restaurants, two lounges, live entertainment, an indoor pool, sauna, whirlpool and exercise equipment.

Holiday Inn Northwest, 3330 W. Coliseum Blvd., Fort Wayne, 46808; 219/484-7711, 800/HOLIDAY. Take exit 109A to reach this 261-room hotel. It is a Holidome, complete with fine dining, live entertainment, a heated indoor pool, sauna, whirlpool, exercise room, game room and miniature golf course.

Lees Inn, 5707 Challenger Parkway, Fort Wayne, 46818; 219/489-8888; 800/733-5337. As do most Lees Inns, this 73-room property provides complimentary HBO movies, continental breakfast and newspapers. The inn is located off I-69 at exit 111B behind a Cracker Barrel restaurant.

Luxbury Hotel, 5501 Coventry Lane, Fort Wayne, 46804; 219/436-0242, 800/252-7748. This 98-room hotel is on the southwest side of Fort Wayne, but only 15 minutes from downtown and the airport. Rooms have recliner chairs. Guests may make local phone calls free of charge. The inn also serves a free continental breakfast, and makes coffee and fruit available around the clock.

Fax and copy machines, complimentary newspapers and washers and dryers meet the special needs of business travelers at this 150-room Ramada. During leisure time, guests may enjoy its restaurant and lounge, outdoor pool and exercise room.

Some rooms have fireplaces, and all have fully equipped kitchens. The inn has an outdoor heated pool and whirlpool and guest privileges at a local health club. HUNTINGTON

L-K Inn, 2996 W. Park Drive, Huntington, 45750; 219/356-0030, 800/282-5711. Located near the Huntington Reservoir, Salamonie State Recreation Area, Sunken Gardens and historic Old Fort Wayne, the 66-room L-K Inn is at U.S. 24 and Indiana 9. A restaurant is on the premises.
