Over 32,000 more troops, policemen deployed in Baramulla.
ISLAMABAD: Vindicating the stance of Hurriyat leadership that holding of the so-called elections in the territory is nothing but a military exercise, the authorities have deployed over 32,000 additional Indian troops and police personnel for the first phase of Indian parliamentary polls in Baramulla constituency in North Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Baramulla Lok Sabha constituency is spread over three border districts of Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora.
As many as 400 additional companies (over 32,000 men) of paramilitary and police personnel have been deployed in the three districts.
These troops and policemen are in addition to the thousands of Indian forces' personnel already deployed in the districts.
