Life sciences company OvaScience (NasdaqGM:OVAS) reported on Monday the addition of Dr Michelle Dipp, MD, PhD, to the Biotechnology Industry Organization's (BIO) Emerging Companies Governing Board.

Currently, Dr Dipp serves as the founding chief executive officer of OvaScience.

The company added Dr Dipp is the founder and partner of Longwood Fund, which founds and invests in OvaScience, Alnara, Sirtris and Verastem.

In addition, Dr Dipp is a member of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Board of Trustees, the Boston Symphony Orchestra Board of Overseers and the MassBio Advisory Board.
