Same Planet Different World Dance Theatre in Chicago is celebrating its 10th anniversary at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts on Nov. 10. Already having hosted an advanced-level high school dance intensive and a multitude of soirees, and performed in Chicago's "Other Dance Festival" this year, the modern dance company will continue its entertaining trend with a "festive night of dance, spirits, and other earthly delights" (spdwdance.org). These include champagne plus a world premiere choreographed by guest artist Ashleigh Leite, a former Petronio dancer, and the SPDW premiere of master choreographer Shirley Mordine's Thin Ice. For more information about the company and their gala, visit spdwdance.org.
