Outrage as vile hackers put porn on April's page.

Byline: Kelly Williams Reporter kelly.williams@trinitymirror.co.uk

AFACEBOOK page set up to help find murdered schoolgirl April Jones has been hacked by vile trolls who posted pornographic images on it.

The page, which has been "liked" by more than 207,000 people, has been bombarded with "barbaric and undignified" posts.

Overnight, "disgusting" content appeared on the social networking site among photographs of the Machynlleth five-year-old, who was killed by Mark Bridger in 2012.

Hundreds of outraged people have removed themselves from the Find April Jones page, which continued on in her memory, and have reported the trolls to Facebook.

Yesterday, vulgar images and updates continued to be posted. The page was removed last night, after members of the public alerted our sister paper the Daily Post.

An influx of comments posted on the wall by followers branded the hackers "messed up" and "sick".

One said: "Your new content is very inadequate and immature and really has no connection to the poor little April Jones. "You should be ashamed of yourself for even portraying such barbaric and undignified posts on a page that represents just how bad people can be. You should be disgusted."

Last night, their thoughts were echoed by members of the Machynlleth community.

Machynlleth councillor Michael Williams said: "I hate to think about how April's family would feel if they saw these posts, it would be very distressing for them indeed."

Councillor and former mayor of the town, Gareth Jones, said "I hope that those responsible are caught and brought to justice."

Glyn Davies, MP for Montgomeryshire said he was "completely shocked and sickened".

"It's hard to believe that people can stoop so low," he said.

"April's family have been through enough and how anyone can be sick enough to increase their pain is beyond me."
