Outdoor activities.

You'll find plenty of inviting golf courses and lots of nice days to play them during fall and winter in Arkansas. Come try gorgeous layouts in the mountains, along rivers and lakes, in the cities and throughout the countryside. New courses are being built throughout the state. For camping enthusiasts, there are campsites in 28 state parks, three national forests, more than 200 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recreation areas and along the Buffalo National River. Many more campsites are also available at county and city parks and private campgrounds. Strap on your boots and take on the challenge of more than 250 hiking trails, which include the Ouachita National Recreation Trail and the Ozark Highlands National Recreation Trail for serious treks. Organized biking tours are available in the Ozarks and Ouachitas for cyclists and mountain bikers. Motorcycle touring is growing in popularity throughout Arkansas, and there's no better time "to get your motor running" than when fall colors are brightening the Arkansas roadsides.
