VISITORS to the Patrick Centre can expect something a little unexpected with a new show from Portuguese choreographer Rui Horta.

SETUP sees the centre at the Birmingham Hippodrome take on a club feel with a catwalk-style stage turned sideways and flanked by giant curtains.

This provides a base for three male dancers to then lead the audience through an evening of confusion and surprise.

SETUP is presented by DanceXchange whose programme manager Emma South-worth says: "We're delighted to have been able to bring Rui Horta and his company to perform here at The Patrick Centre.

"With only two other UK tour dates this year, DanceXchange really is putting Birmingham on the map as a performance destination for some of the best dance the world has to offer."

SETUP is staged at the Patrick Centre on Mar 6-7 and is recommended for people aged 14 and over. For ticket information call 0870 730 1234 or visit
