Out of hours.

Health bosses in Newcastle are warning patients not to get left out in the cold this Easter.

Doctor's surgeries across Newcastle will be closed from Good Friday and will not open again until 8.30am on Tuesday, March 29.

Anyone needing medical help is asked to contact NHS Direct on 0845 46 47 for advice and information, while the Out of Hours GP service can be contacted on (0191) 215 4833.

Dr Steve Blades, from Newcastle Primary Care Trust, which is responsible for the Out of Hours Service, said: "We know patients' needs don't just stop because the surgery is closed and we have worked extremely hard with colleagues to provide the best possible service for people in Newcastle."
