Out of Sight (Sky Movies Modern Greats, 8pm).

A BANK-robber and a Marshall find their paths cross several times after he kidnaps her and escapes from jail.

When the crook looks to pull off his last big scam the officer is detailed with pursuing him -but she''s attracted, and has second thoughts about bringing him in.

Think "sharper and grittier Moonlighting for the 21st century" and you're half way there - George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez practically burn up the screen with their lusty tension and wit. Broadly, this isn''t a classic but it does contain enough smiles and thrills to thoroughly satisfy - and also has the most fantastically directed and edited sex scene.

Surprisingly the film didn''t do particularly well at the box office, though remains a firm favourite of its star Clooney: "Out of Sight was the first time where I had a say, and it was a good film."

Sizzling stuff, this heist movie marked Steve Soderbergh's arrival as a big time director with Oscars likely to figure in his future.
