Our Tina and the dress of dreams.

THEY say every girl knows when she has found "The Dress".

Ask any Sex And the City fan, and many will agree, Carrie's wedding dress is the perfect princess bride dress.

Most of us can only dream of wearing something so beautiful - and that comes with a pounds 9,000 price tag.

So when I was offered the chance to model the Vivienne Westwood gown, designed for Sarah Jessica Parker in the SATC feature film, I jumped at the chance.

Not only was it exciting that the iconic dress was in Liverpool on Wednesday, but it was a chance to act out every woman's fashion fantasy.

I arrived at the Vivienne Westwood boutique on Matthew Street, which had specially commissioned the wedding dress in a (not-so-generous) size 10.

But I was adamant I would get into it and, once it was on, the verdict was obvious. I loved it.

What girl wouldn't?

For those who haven't seen the film, journalist Carrie tries on a succession of wedding dresses for a Vogue photo shoot.

For me it was just The One.

Fans see the actress panting the name of each designer as she poses: 'Vera Wang', 'Dior'...but it was the Vivienne Westwood outfit that stole the show.

The dress features silhouettes with exaggerated darts, nippedin waists and pointy sculptural busts.

The extremely small waist is combined with generous amounts of silk - a very Carrie wedding dress.

The top is based on a corset made of a gold backed ivory silk satin duchess, which gives a warm, champagne nuance.

The underskirt is made of ivory silk Radzimir taffeta.

Now just the small matter of the pounds 9,500 price tag, diamond ring and the groom....

The wedding gown as worn by Sarah Jessica Parker is from the Vivienne Westwood Gold Label AW 0708 collection Wake up, Cave Girl for pounds 9,500. It is available to order from Vivienne Westwood, Mathew Street, Cavern Walks.

Hair and make up by Lisa Rhead and Natalie Dawling of Barbara Daley.
