Our Health: How I stay IN SHAPE: Julia Roberts.

Name: Julia Roberts

Quote: 'So I don't always shave my armpits - so what?'

Biog: She's still probably best known for playing the hooker with the heart of gold in Pretty Woman, but the 32-year-old actress has starred in mega hits My Best Friend's Wedding, Notting Hill and Runaway Bride - taking a worldwide total of $1 billion. For her latest movie Erin Brockovich, she earned a mind-boggling $20 million.

Framework: The 5ft 9in brown-eyed beauty isn't happy with various parts of her body including her feet (too big), her mouth (it's crooked) and her fingernails (they never seem to look right!).

She prefers not to wear make-up and usually just scrubs her face. Her golden rule for beauty is to cleanse your face thoroughly before bedtime. A much-publicised part of her body during her attendance at the premier of Notting Hill was her hairy armpits.

Exercise: When she's between movies, she works out regularly in the local gym. Her favourite exercise is a form of calisthenics with weights known as bodysculpting. She also likes jogging and dancing.

'Dancing is very therapeutic,' she says. 'I really lose myself and get right into it.'

Diet: Julia loves salads and often invents her own. She enjoys salads for lunch and dinner - but breakfasts are another thing entirely. The Georgia-born girl starts the day well with a good Southern spread that includes eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, gravy, the lot.

Love-life: Julia is well documented as having had a string of failed romances. She jilted Kiefer Sutherland 24 hours before the wedding, then ran off with actor Jason Patric. Next she tied the knot with country singer Lyle Lovett. It lasted only 22 months.

A romance with Friends star Matthew Perry also fizzled out. But now it looks as though she has found Mr Right at long last - former Law And Order star Benjamin Bratt.
