Origami: The Art of Paperfolding.

Three videotapes are offered by Origami Productions that make the point that origami, or paper folding, instills self-discipline and a sense of neatness, as well as providing enjoyment for the practitioner. These three two-hour tapes, Origami for Beginners, Origami: The Art of Paperfolding, and Advanced Origami, overcome the problems printed materials face in making three-dimensional techniques easily understood by their capacity to rotate images as demonstrations occur. The demonstrations illustrated in the tapes occur at a slow enough pace to allow for simultaneous folding by students.

The intent of these tapes, in addition to teaching some of the classic forms of origami, is to make viewers familiar with the various folds and bases. They also acknowledge that there are an infinite number of applications of this art form and encourage viewers to explore print resources for further origami models and techniques. The cost per videotape is $29.95. For more information, write to Origami Productions, 939 Northfield Road, Woodmere, NY 11598:
