Ori goal a timely reminder for Ralph; SOUTHAMPTON..2 WEST BROM.....0.

SOUTHAMPTON boss Ralph Hasenhuttl hailed Oriol Romeu for his superb goal - and insisted the midfielder isn't about to be replaced.

Saints last night completed the PS12.7million signing of Brest midfield ace Ibrahima Diallo, and Hasenhuttl said: "Diallo is done. The paperwork is done. He's our new player and will come in. In that position we don't have so many alternatives.

"It's not a question of replacing people but of alternatives. When you see Oriol as a professional, how he reacts when he's not first choice, it's unbelievable.

"I've never seen a professional like him before in my entire managing career. The second goal was fantastic. A wonderful finish from Ori."

It was a timely moment for Romeu to score his first goal in 20 months - just as Saints were signing Diallo.

But, for Hasenhuttl, it was also proof that it is not only striker Danny Ings who can score goals for his team after Moussa Djenepo hit the opener.
