Oregon mines Golden West.

Byline: The Register-Guard

Junior college teammates Andrew Iupati and Lavasier Tuinei have given verbal commitments to sign with Oregon, according to Rivals.com.

Iupati is a 6-foot-1, 295-pound defensive tackle at Golden West Community College in Huntington, Calif., and Tuinei is a 6-5, 195-pound receiver. Tuinei is a 2008 high school graduate who would have four years in which to play three with the Ducks.

Both players would fill positions of great need for the Ducks. Only three defensive tackles are set to return next season, and the receiving corps loses starters Jaison Williams and Terence Scott.

Oregon had previously secured commitments from junior college defensive tackles Myles Wade and Justin Thompson, but neither is thought to be on track to qualify academically at this point.
