Optom accused of practising when unregistered.

A Kenton-based optometrist will appear before a GOC fitness to practise committee next month accused of practising when not registered with the governing body.

During the hearing, which is scheduled for March 19, the Council will allege that between August 16 2005 and December 20 2007 Abhay Joshi practised as an optometrist whilst he was unregistered.

If the allegations are found to be true Mr Joshi faces being found guilty of miscount.

The hearing will be held at the COG's office on Harley Street, London and will be heard by two optometrists and three lay members.
