NUNEATON and Bedworth Borough Council is inviting a community artist and a graphic artist to work on public arts projects for Nuneaton town centre. The submissions deadline is February 21. 01203 376316.

MEET the masters at Art Alive at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts at the University of Birmingham. Famous artists including Andre Derain and Jan Davidsz de Heem "come to life" in a series of family afternoons. 0121 414 7333.

PAINTINGS and prints of old Lahore by Dr Ajaz Anwar, of the National College of Arts in Pakistan, go on display at Stoke Library in Coventry from February 17 to 19. The artist will also give a talk at the library, on the corner of Walsgrave Road and Kingsway, on Friday, February 18, from noon and 1pm. The talk is free but places are limited. Phone 01203 452059.
