Opera can strike a winning tune.

JOHN GOSDEN and William Buick enjoyed a fruitless trip to America for the Breeders' Cup but Beggar's Opera can get them smiling again at Wolverhampton tomorrow.

Both Debussy and Utley failed to figure in their respective events and while the Bet Test Match Rugby -Betdaq Handicap is some way below that level, the pair would surely love to see this well-bred colt get his head in front.

Beggar's Opera remains relatively unexposed for a three-year-old at this stage, having won one of four starts this term.

Beggar's Opera is still learning, but a winter campaign is in mind after giving him a long break.
