Openwave signs five wireless data partners.

IP-based communication infrastructure software and applications provider Openwave Systems Inc has entered into a number of alliances with wireless data partners.

Openwave has formed agreements with Digital Bridges, End2End, InfoSpace, IN-FUSIO and MForma as part of its Mobile Connect Program. This will see the wireless data partners supplying Openwave with Java and multimedia content and services for use on the company's Mobile Data Infrastructure Platform.

Content that will be made available on the Openwave Platform for download to a mobile phone includes Java applications, games, ring tones and images.

No financial terms for any of the agreements were revealed.
