OpenText embeds business intelligence platform.

Birst Inc. said that OpenText (NASDAQ: OTEX) is embedding Birst's business intelligence platform within its business process applications to help customers gain the information and analysis they need to optimize their business processes.

Birst's enterprise-caliber capabilities, including multidimensional analysis, will help enable business process solution designers and participants to quickly identify opportunities for business process improvement and uncover root causes of business process setbacks.

Leveraging Birst Mobile, OpenText will make Birst's reporting and analysis available via mobile devices, such as smart phones and tablets. As a result, users on the go can receive notification of any business process performance issues, allowing them to quickly act to get business processes back on track.
