Open Text to integrate Social Workplace into solutions for the legal market.
Open Text Corporation (NASDAQ:OTEX), a provider of enterprise content management software, today announced that it has expanded its solutions available to the global legal market, including the introduction of key integrations between Open Text Document Management, eDOCS Edition (DOCS DM) and Open Text Social Workplace.
The announcement, at the ILTA 2010 conference in Las Vegas, Nevada this week, said that the Open Text Social Workplace offers employees the ability to interact with each other in a secure, organised manner and the integration with Open Text eDOCS will allow users in law firms to collaborate on documents and matters stored and governed within eDOCS. Features include Micro blogging and instant messaging.
The company's Open Text Document Management, eDOCS Edition, provides legal document management and helps control document-based knowledge assets by enabling users to capture, organise, locate and share business content in a secure, integrated and intuitive environment, according to Open Text.
No cost details of the solution were disclosed. The integrated solution is expected to be available this autumn.
