Open Systems Inc.

Open Systems Inc., a single-source provider of business management and accounting software for mid-sized companies, has announced the release of TRAVERSE 10.5. The new release includes more than 120 enhancements, including a new aged trial-balance report with drilldown features; the ability to email, fax and print invoices and other forms; the assignment of unique roles for each user; and unlimited budgets and forecasts in general ledger.

Users will also benefit from redesigned sales order entry, drilldowns from open invoice inquiry to transaction detail and a landed-cost feature in the purchase order application that provides the capability to distribute indirect cost to inventory.

"This is the largest feature release ever for Open Systems," said Steve Beckey, vice president of development. "This release is especially strong because we not only used our traditional model of asking for customer feedback on new enhancements, but we also spent extra time evaluating competitive products."

Founded in 1976 on the premise of delivering powerful accounting software solutions to small and mid-market customers, Minneapolis-based Open Systems is a single-source provider of accounting, distribution, manufacturing, not-for-profit, CRM (customer relationship management) and eBusiness solutions. Source code for Open Systems products is provided at no additional cost.
