Onvia Names Theresa Treat as Vice President of Human Resources Executive Brings Breadth of Experience with Fast-Growth Firms.

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 6, 2000, Inc. (Nasdaq:ONVI), the leading business-to-business exchange connecting small business buyers and sellers, announced today that Theresa Treat has joined Onvia as Vice President of Human Resources (HR) effective immediately.

Treat, who brings 20 years of human resources experience, will oversee all human resources functions including employee relations, mergers and acquisitions integration planning and employee benefit programs. Treat reports to Mike Pickett, Chief Operations Officer.

Prior to joining Onvia, Treat was vice president for HR at Pointshare Inc., where she developed and implemented an enhanced HR infrastructure during a period of rapid growth that allowed the company to successfully expand its employee base and services. Treat also worked as director of Human Resources at Nextlink, Communication, Inc. In this role, she established an innovative Human Resources Model, including management training and shared services programs increasing productivity in a decentralized business environment.

In addition, Treat served as Director of Human Resources for Horizon Airlines, where she managed the Human Resources function for 25 remote company locations. She also previously served as the Regional Director for the Alaska Public Employees Association as a labor negotiator and employee advocate.
