The Ontario government is investing USD25m in chronic disease study over five years, it was reported on Monday.
The government is investing to study new treatments and therapies for people living with chronic diseases including cancer, multiple sclerosis and diabetes.
The funds will be offered to the Ontario Institute for Regenerative Medicine's 150 stem cell and regenerative medicine scientists, clinicians and engineers. It will be utilised to examine new chronic disease treatments. Regenerative medicine studies indicate how to replace or regenerate cells, tissues and organs that have been damaged by chronic disease.
