Only six months until Xmas!

IT MAY be June but the thoughts of some Leamington people are stretching ahead to Christmas.

This year's Christmas Lights switch-on will be held on Sunday, November 16, and a full, fun programme of events has already been planned.

The event has proved so popular over the last few years that the stage has been moved down the Parade to outside the town hall.

Town centre manager Paul Haynes said: "Hopefully, this will allow greater numbers of people to be able to attend and see."

Popular performer Sue J Willis will compere the event and contestants at the recent Teen Idol event are among those due to take part.
