Only 13 out of 52 Commerce and Trade Group's officers submit IT returns.
Islamabad -- Out of 52 officers of Commerce and Trade Group of Grade 17 and 18, a majority of officers over 35 have not submitted their income tax file returns for financial year 2017.
Sources told that following the instructions of the Prime Minister, Establishment Division has had issued a circular directing all officers from Grade 17 to 22 to ensure their income tax file return.
Majority of officers of grade 17-18 of Commerce and Trade group have not submitted their income tax returns, which was a manifest that these officers were properly following directives of the premier.
Sources revealed that there are almost twenty officers of grade 18 who belong to Commerce and Trade Group, who have had not submitted their income tax returns for financial year 2017. Almost there are fifteen officers of grade 17 from the same cadre, who failed to submit their income tax returns and all are working as Assistant Directors.
Others officers of Commerce and Trade group who have had not submitted their income tax returns are serving in Grade 18 at posts of Deputy Directors, First Secretary, Chief Manager, Commercial Secretary, Registrar Copyrights, Section Officer and Manager.
Interestingly, among these 52 officers, CNICs of four officers, belong to Grade 18 are missing. Sources asserted that most of officers of above grade were not filing their income tax returns. Officers of grade 17 and 18 who have not submitted their income tax returns include, Ms. Bilquees, Ms Serene Asad, Hafiz Mohammad Rohail Nazir, Umar Minhas, Ameera Pervaiz, Abdul Salam Shah, Rafia Syed, Laiq Daraz Khan, Mohammad Awais Khan and others.
