WE WROTE: DIY signs have helped put the brakes on speeding motorists along a Redcar road. Sick of drivers going too fast, concerned mum Rachel Steele, right, has been taking action.

YOU SAID: People need to stop parking on corners near the school as well, cos drivers can''t see round the corner and there''s been a few near misses. It''s already a nightmare along that road but people just park where they want, even though there''s double yellow lines Dennise Allen When I first saw the sign I thought it was a great idea and very responsible. My partner takes care on the roads anyway especially if children are around but the mother even waved at us to thank us for slowing. Although this is a great idea, she shouldn''t really have to go to these lengths to keep her children safe, drivers need to be more careful and the council more responsible.

Samantha K Carsley Well done Rachel Steele, not only are you thinking about yours and other people''s children but you are looking at the bigger picture. By taking this stand now you are helping these young people be healthy and active. A huge pat on the back for you.
