WE WROTE: Bosses at Durham Tees Valley Airport say they are talking with potential buyers - but add they have yet to consider what will happen if one is not secured. Owner Peel Airports has not set a timescale on negotiations after announcing that the airport was for sale. YOU SAID: It''s nothing to with the pounds 6 charge, that is just Peel's way of squeezing the last few quid out of the place before trying to sell the land. They have systematically run the place down. Where''s the evidence that they have being trying to attract new routes, rather than diverting them to their other airports? Get someone else in, develop a freight terminal with a rail link to Teesport and the place with be booming.

Gasbag The current owners have clearly stated that they''re only interested in larger airports which makes you wonder why they bothered to invest in the first place. Let's look at it as an opportunity to bring a new owner who''s genuinely interested in developing and growing it as a key regional airport.

turnberry3 As usual, bad management blame everybody but themselves. If you don''t have the destinations people require they are bound to go somewhere else.

reknruin It seems highly unlikely that DTV will find a buyer. 18 months from now it''s liable to resemble Ingleby Barwick. It''s a shame but when other airports were expanding and increasing their destinations our airport was not. It''s a story of this area really - lots of potential but not enough ambition.

BoroScott So if Mr Gill blames the recession why are Newcastle and Leeds Airport booming? CRAGGS
