One dies, another injured in kite twine incident.

OKARA -- A motorcyclist died as a kite twine cut his throat while his pillion suffered injuries near the overhead bridge on Faisalabad Road on Friday.

The incident resulted in the suspension of station house officers (SHOs) of two police stations.

Faheem along with his friend Talha was on the way to Faisalabad from Makka Town. When they reached near the overhead bridge, the kite string cut Faheem's neck. As a result, he lost control of the motorcycle and fell down. He died on the spot due to bleeding. Talha also suffered multiple injuries and was shifted to the district headquarters hospital.

When the police reached the spot, A Division SHO Malik Arshad and B Division City SHO Azmat Hayat started arguing with each other regarding their jurisdictions, saying the incident did not occur within their limits. As District Police Officer Hasan Asad Alvi received information about the incident and arguments of the SHOs, he suspended both the officers from service.
