One Purging Compound Cleans Out Coex Systems.

A new specialty purging compound from Shuman Plastics, Inc., Depew, N.Y., is designed for cleaning multi-resin coextrusion systems. Its extended temperature range of 320-575 F is said to allow purging of a variety of resins that may be processed concurrently. Dyna Purge SF is a thermoplastic blend containing a non-chemical active ingredient said to improve cleaning power. When heated, this nonabrasive compound expands and foams to reach into and clean out every nook and cranny. It comes ready to use with no mixing and is said to have unlimited shelf life.
