One Danish soldier serving with NATO peacekeeping forces in Kosovo has reportedly been wounded in recent rioting and violence.

A Danish battalion reportedly became embroiled in a clash between Kosovo-Albanians and Kosovo-Serbs in the northern town of Mitrovica.

The soldier was wounded in the clash as the Danish peacekeepers tried to prevent the conflicting parties from crossing a bridge over the river Ibar, reported the online news service of the Danish radio DR.
