On-site overhaul.

Masinloc Power Partners Co. (MPPC), a subsidiary of The AES Corporation, plant's boiler circulation pumps (BCPs) had been poorly maintained since their installation in 1996 because of a lack of expenditure on planned maintenance. On site, the two boilers require three Hayward Tyler BCPs each, with one on standby, but in some cases the plant only had two pumps per boiler in service. HAYWARD TYLER's service division, HTS, has completed the onsite overhaul of four of the BCP's installed at the plant, in short period of time, minimising downtime. The first onsite mechanical and electrical overhaul, including the stator rewind, of two BCP's, was started in March 2008 and took 35 days. Later in the year, the overhaul of a further two pumps was completed in a 40 day period.
