HUDDERSFIELD Railway Modellers are busy getting things on track for their annual open weekend.
The group will hold its third annual open weekend on Saturday and Sunday at Stonefield Mills on Tanyard Road in Milnsbridge.
Club members have spent many hours creating the model railway exhibits for the free show, which will run from 11am to 4pm on both days.
The exhibits include railway layouts in 2mm, 4mm and 7mm track sizes.
There will also be a 16mm size live steam engine, called Nant Mawr.
There will also be a Friends of Thomas The Tank Engine layout, where children will be allowed to drive the engines themselves.
The open weekends have been running since the club moved to Milnsbridge in 2004 and each year attract over 300 visitors.
The open weekend serves as a preview for the group's Modelrail 2006 exhibition at Holmfirth Civic Centre on October 28 and 29.
This runs from 10am to 5pm on both days.
Chairman Rodger Schofield said: "The weekend gives the public a chance to see layouts at all the various stages of development.
"If you ever wanted to know how it's done, this is the time to find out.
"The relaxed atmosphere means members operating the layouts will have time to answer questions.
"It all adds up to the best free railway show in town," added Mr Schofield.
