On course to revive run-down areas.

A NEW regeneration qualification is being launched at Coventry University.

The Centre in Sustainable Regeneration (Surge) will offer the postgraduate certificate, diploma and the new MBA in regeneration management, as well as an MSc in regeneration and sustainable communities, from September.

University bosses say demand for more specialist managers to deal with complex regeneration projects has led to the creation of the courses, which are aimed at people with a major responsibility and role in regeneration projects.

Candidates will be expected to have a good first degree along with two years' post-university management experience.
