Omani leaders nominated for Asian business awards.
Nominations began on September 5, and will remain open through till midnight of September 15 on the ABLF Awards website (www.ablfawards.com).
The ABLF awards jury is a high-profile group of eminent personalities with representation from the world of finance, diplomacy and academia as well as political, economic and legal commentators from across Asia.
Asia's premier showcase of exemplary business enterprise in the strategic sectors of industry, infrastructure and energy, the Asian Business Leadership Forum Awards 2011, will roll out the prestigious gold carpet in New Delhi on October 3.
Initiated by the launch of its global nomination portal (www.ablfawards.com) last week by Kamal Nath, India's federal minister of urban development, the event that will recognise and honour outstanding business achievers from across the Sultanate, United Arab Emirates, India and South-East Asia.
For the first time in the business awards industry, the award nominees and winners are determined not by a single institution with its own associations and allegiances, but through a global nomination portal and by a group of independent personalities across the knowledge realms of industry, finance, advisory, media and government, who have global presence, experience and interest in the story of 'Asia rising'.
Speaking on Oman's participation at the event, Anil Wadhwa, the Indian ambassador to the Sultanate, said: "India and Oman are major upcoming Asian economies, and it is imperative now more than ever for them to maintain strong economic and political relations that are not only mutually gainful, but also benefit the wider Asian region, and the global market."
"I have no doubt that the ABLF Awards will bring together the key business sectors of industry, infrastructure and energy. The Gulf, India and South-East Asia are amongst the fastest growing regions in the world and I am sure that this event will engage the best entrepreneurial minds and business talent from the regions," said Kamal Nath.
The event is presented by two iconic Indian conglomerates, Adani Group and DLF, who raise the benchmark of industry performance in the feature sectors.
Adani Group, an India-based business corporation with global interests in infrastructure, power, global trading, logistics, energy, port and SEZ, mining, and oil and gas, highlights the importance of the event. The Chairman, Gautam S. Adani said: "We believe that infrastructure and energy are the key growth drivers for all the Asian economies and need special reorganisation as game changers."
