Omani Labor Law/ Introductory Seminar for Female Workers at Private Sector.

Muscat, Oct 17 (ONA) --- The Manpower Ministry, represented by the Directorate General of Labor Welfare will organize at the Omani Women's Association in Muscat tomorrow (Tuesday) the 3rd seminar to indentify the Omani labor law for the female workers at the institutions of the private sector. The seminar will be held under the patronage of Dr. Muna bint Salim al-Jardaniyah, Undersecretary the Manpower Ministry for Technical Education and Vocational Training. Organizing this seminar coincides with the Sultanate's celebration of the Omani Woman Day which falls on October 17th. It also comes within the framework of the Manpower Ministry's keeness on the importance of raising the awareness of the manpower in the private sector towards the provisions of the Omani labor law and the ministerial decisions that implement them, as well as in appreciation for the role of the woman and her participation in building this country. Hilal bin Ali al-Salmani, Director of the Labor Services Department at the ministry said that this seminar aims at highlighting the woman's rights in work legislations, as well indentifying her with the work regulations and penalties, in addition to the safety requirements and occupational health. --- Ends/AH/FS
