Oman takes part in GCC Audit meeting.

Riyadh: The 12th two-day meeting of GCC Audit and Accounting Representatives Committee concluded on Monday in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In two-day meeting Oman s delegation was led by Nasser bin Hamoud Al-Rawahi, Deputy Chairman of the State s Financial and Administrative Audit Institution (SFAAI).

The meeting discussed the draft of (Diwans Audit Reports and Actions Quality) Directory that was prepared by Bahrain s National Financial and Administrative Audit Court (NFAAC) in accordance with the visions of the Diwans in accordance with the international standard No. 40 issued by the INTOSAI, in addition to, the approval of the 2nd competition for researches and studies in audit and accounting and the approval of the directories, such as, the Financial Audit Directory, the General Directory, the Oil and Gas Audit Directory and the Pre-Audit Directory.

The committee also reviewed the proposal of the General Audit Diwan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for studying the conclusions and recommendations of INTOSAI conference held in Austria in May 2010. Where the Diwan presented a working paper about the bases and horizons of cooperation between INTOSAI and the international organizations in the aforementioned meeting concerning the governmental financial audit report through the capabilities and the liberation of the supreme audit institutions.

The committee also discussed benefiting from the experiences of the member states in audit under the transformation towards the electronic transactions and the methods of data exchange with the establishments being audited by the Diwans and institutions.
