Olympic champ Jade's pavilion honour.

GOLDEN girl Jade Jones will visit her hometown leisure centre tomorrow - when it will be renamed in her honour.

The revamped facility will officially be opened as the Jade Jones Pavilion Flint by councillor Ann Minshull, chairman of Flintshire County Council at 2.30pm.

The pavilion''s new facilities are already open and feature an eight lane bowling alley, a new cafe and licensed bar, and an indoor flat green bowling rink.

There is also a new soft play area, which has been named Pirates of the Pavilion by local primary schoolchildren, for younger visitors.

Cllr Peter Macfarlane, cabinet member for regeneration, enterprise and leisure, said: "These are exciting times for Flint Pavilion.

"The new facilities are excellent.

"The ten pin bowling, indoor bowling and soft play area help us to ensure that our modern leisure facilities in Flintshire offer something for all age groups in the county, to increase people's opportunities to participate in all kinds of sporting activities."
